The French Bulldog is the #1 AKC Breed in the USA

Labrador Retrievers, move aside. A new top dog has arrived in town.

According to the American Kennel Club's 2022 registration figures, the Labrador Retriever has lost its position as the most popular dog breed in the US for the first time in 31 years. It is replaced by the adorable and little French Bulldog.

Throughout the past several decades, the French Bulldog has steadily moved up the AKC rankings, reaching No. 14 in 2012. The breed was ranked No. 2 in 2021, behind the well-liked labs but before Golden Retrievers.

Who can resist those cute bat-like ears and wrinkled nose, after all? From Reese Witherspoon to Megan Thee Stallion, the breed has been a favorite among celebs.

According to the AKC, this breed's petite size and calm temperament play a part in what makes it so simple to adore. French Bulldogs are a wonderful choice for people who live in apartments or smaller homes because they don't normally bark much and don't require as much activity as larger dogs.

Nonetheless, French Bulldogs, like many dog breeds, are susceptible to a number of health issues, including those that impair breathing. Due to their small airways and short nostrils, flat-faced breeds like the English Bulldog and Pug are particularly prone to these issues. Due to the fact that these dogs have been bred to exhibit certain traits, some vets have issued a warning against purchasing them.

Honestly, I’m a bit surprised the Lab’s 31-year streak finally ended. It’s wild to think how much breed trends can shift, though those line astrocartography Frenchie faces are everywhere now. I do wonder if their apartment-friendly reputation is the biggest factor, or if social media and celebrity pics really pushed them over the top.

I love how Culture Stories celebrate resilience and connection. It reminds me of the teamwork in free online game rocketgoal , where players unite for goals in fast-paced matches. Both highlight community spirit in fun ways!

Spent way too long on Poki last weekend — started with one puzzle game and ended up trying like five different ones. Everything loads right in the browser which is nice when you just want something quick without installing anything. The variety is honestly what keeps me coming back.

It's wild to see the French Bulldog finally take the top spot after so many years of nano banna pro the Lab graffiti style text generator being number one. I do worry a bit about their health issues getting overshadowed by the hype, especially with all the celebrity promotion. They're cute for sure, but it seems like potential owners really need to do their homework on those breathing problems.
