Building Role-Based Lists: How to Find Not Only Decision-Makers but Also Influential Champions in Snov.io

Closing deals without champions is like rock climbing without anchors. We mapped buying committees: economic buyer, technical approver, user champion, and blocker. In Snov.io, we used Finder filters for adjacent roles (Enablement, Ops, Security) and looked for public fingerprints—job posts, GitHub, talks—that signal influence. Emailing only VPs gave us polite noes; sequencing champions produced internal forwards and warm intros. Pipeline quality went from brittle to resilient.

In https://snov.io/email-finder (best email finder tool) we save queries as “DM,” “Champion,” and “Consensus” lists. Champions get value-first content (fixes to known pain) while DMs get ROI snapshots. When a champion replies, we capture their language and mirror it in the DM thread later. Finder’s job is sourcing a coalition, not just a boss. Even when DMs go dark, a champion thread keeps oxygen in the deal. Expect slower starts, stronger finishes.
