Are these smart bulbs worth the extra setup?
I’ve been slowly replacing all the old lights in my house with LEDs that I can control from my phone, but some brands seem way harder to sync than others. I just want a simple bulb for the porch that turns on at sunset without me having to manually reset it every time the Wi-Fi flickers. Does anyone have a favorite brand for outdoor fixtures that actually stays connected to the app during a storm?

I get the appeal of lighting that is easy to live with and does not turn into another thing to troubleshoot. That is part of why a lego technic light kit makes sense to me. Technic builds already have so much structure and detail, so adding light feels like a clean upgrade instead of a gimmick. It gives the model more presence at night and makes the finished set feel worth keeping out where you can actually enjoy it.
