Momentum Oscillator — useful or just noise?
I keep seeing people talk about the Momentum Oscillator, but I still don’t get why it matters. I trade Forex on H1 and H4. Sometimes the indicator moves fast, sometimes it feels late. I mostly use price action and one moving average. Is Momentum really giving extra value, or is it just another line that looks smart on the chart?

I had the same doubts before I actually tried to understand how it behaves. Momentum is not magic, but it shows strength, not direction guesses. On H1 and higher it feels more stable. I don’t use it alone. I combine it with a moving average and basic structure. It doesn’t tell you when to enter perfectly, but it warns when the move is getting tired.
